Jo Ann Russow, age 77 of Joplin, Mo passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Webb City Health & Rehab following an illness.
Jo Ann was born on August 11, 1937 in Joplin the daughter of John Cavener and Juanita Baugh. She has been a lifetime area resident, Jo Ann spent her days loving and caring for her family as a homemaker. She was a member of College View Baptist Church.
She married Billy Russow on March 7, 1956, in Miami, Ok, he survives. Additional survivors include, three sons; Karl Russow and wife Glenda of Seneca, Mo, Gary Russow of Joplin, and Billy D. Russow and Sandy of Joplin, one daughter; Linda Rowe and Randy Newman of Joplin, two brothers; Gerald Cavener of Joplin, Dennis Hendricks of Gatesville, Tx, three sisters; Faye and Vic Weber of Opolis, Ks, Mary Hamilton of Liberal, Mo, Glenda Baugh of Liberal, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Earl Cavener, and two sisters; Phyllis McIlvaine and Patty Hard.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Carl Junction Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
