Mary Frances Muir, age 87 of Joplin, passed away Monday, February 29, 2015 at Freeman Hospital following an extended illness.
Mary was born January 16, 1929 to the late Theodore Fish and Frances Mayes Fish in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was a machine operator for the former Miller's Manufacturing. Mary also worked in housekeeping for Freeman and St. John's Hospital. She was a past member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church of Joplin.
Mary married Robert "Bob" Muir on September 28, 1952 in Parsons, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2012. Additionally preceding Mary in passing are sons, Robert and James Muir.
Survivors include a son, David Muir of Billings, Missouri; brother, Jim Fish of Parsons; sisters, Martha Ivey of Tennessee, Gladys Moore of Lawton, Oklahoma and Ann Dickens of Parsons.
Graveside services are planned for Monday, March 7, 2016 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin with Rev. Jeff D. Martin officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
