Mr. Sidney LouAllen "Bugar" Tweedy, Sr., 54, of Goodman, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday evening, February 27, 2016, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, with his loving family by his side.
Sidney entered this life on April 12, 1961, in Van Buren, Arkansas, son of Kenneth and Nancy (Crittenden) Tweedy. He resided for several years in Enid, Oklahoma, where he was employed by Mid-America Wholesale. In 2013, he and his wife moved to Anderson, Missouri. He was a talented musician and sports enthusiast. He attended worship services at Let Faith Arise in Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father and two siblings, George Tweedy and Leatha Tweedy.
Sidney is survived by his wife, Ellen Tweedy, whom he married on June 5, 1987; two sons, Corey Fines and wife, Jona, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Sidney Tweedy, Jr. and wife, Tasha, of Goodman, Missouri; a daughter, Tammy Morrow and husband, Jack, of Pineville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Emma Morrow, JJ Morrow, Brooklyn Tweedy, Haven Tweedy and Kiley Tweedy; his mother, Nancy Cooper and husband, Robert, of Goodman, Missouri; two brothers, Kenny Tweedy and wife, Carol, of Seneca, Missouri and Eddie Tweedy and wife, Christy, of Anderson, Missouri; a sister, Maria Taylor and husband, Casey, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 12:00 noon, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Eddie Tweedy officiating. Burial will be in the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
