Dorothy Mae Alumbaugh, 86, passed away November 3, 2016 at Sarcoxie nursing center.
Dorothy was born January 23, 1930 in Red Oak, Missouri to Norma and Violet Davis. She was a homemaker and she taught school at Reeds, MO, and she helped work on the farm. Dorothy owned and operated W.N. Alumbaugh Farm supplies. She attended Dudenville Methodist Church and was baptized October 21, 1934 in Red Oak Missouri.
Dorothy was united in marriage to William “Bill” Alumbaugh March 12, 1942 in Reeds MO, he preceded her in death September 7, 2008. Dorothy is survived by one daughter Karen Alumbaugh, one son Garold Alumbaugh and wife Mary, and a daughter in law Lyn Alumbaugh, two sisters Della Jordan and Donna Lane, six grandchildren Michelle Braswell, Aaron Alumbaugh, Miranda Wolf, Erica Golden, Jessica France, and Micheala Alumbaugh, eight great grandchildren, fourteen nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, one son Richard Alumbaugh, and one brother Kenneth Davis.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday November 7, 2016 at Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
