James Rodney Swiney Born 5/14/1948 died 10/27/2016.
Born to James and the late Lillian Swiney. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by an infant brother Jeffrey Brent.
He is survived by his father James and wife Nevada Swiney of New Madrid, Missouri, 1 daughter Jamie East & husband Jeff of Navarre, Florida, 1 son Bryan James Swiney of Arkansas, 2 grandsons Andrew Curtis of Nashville, TN, and Clayton East of Seneca, MO and 1 granddaughter Arleigh East of Navarre, Florida. Jim grew up in Southeast Missouri and graduated from Parma High School and attended college at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri. He pastored at Catron Baptist Church and later he Was a respiratory therapist and owned his own business for several years in Arkansas and Missouri. He was a lifelong avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He loved to play the guitar.
A memorial service is planned on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Pineville, Missouri. Pastor Larry Crawford will officiate.
