Linda J. Ricke, age 73 of Webb City, Missouri passed away Friday October 28, 2016 at her home following a sudden illness.
She was born November 4, 1942 in Webb City, Missouri.
Linda worked as a LPN for many years at Jane Chinn Hospital and St. John’s Hospital as well as in several doctor offices. She also worked for Wal-Mart. She volunteered her nursing services every summer for many years at area church camps. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past Worthy Matron, and for many years she has served as the pianist for numerous OES programs. She was also a member of the Order of the Amaranth and the White Shrine. She was a devout Christian lady and loved the Lord.
She married James Ricke on December 4, 1981 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2015. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Wenona (Rausch) Spencer; her daughter, Tana Mullins; a brother, Larry Spencer, and two half-brothers, Robin and Calvin Spencer.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael Ferriter (Cindy) Carthage, Missouri; two step daughters, Suzy Stringer (Richard), Webb City, Missouri, Kathy Villalobes ( John), Webb City, Missouri; a half-brother Gary Spencer; two sisters, Wenona Smith (Gene) Webb City, Missouri, Mara Murphy, Carl Junction, Missouri, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday November 3, 2016 at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral with Dan Toney officiating. The Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial program at 6:00 pm Wednesday November 2, 2016. A time of visitation will follow until 7:30.
