Scott Wolfe

William Scott Wolfe, 48, passed away on October 28, 2016 at his home in Granby. 

 Scott was born August 12, 1968 in Joplin, the son of Skip and Carolyn (Thurman) Wolfe and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1987, where he played football, basketball and baseball. His sophomore year, he was named ‘All Conference Designated Hitter’ in baseball. He attended William Jewell College on a baseball scholarship, graduating in 1991 with a BA in Financial Management. He worked for Wal-Mart managing stores in Olathe, Kansas and Beaver Dam, WI until 1996. Scott moved to Carthage where he opened ‘Wolfe Pack Pawn’. He owned and operated that business until 2013, when he sold the business to join his father as owner/operator of the Tower Road Apartments in Granby until his death. Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved going to South Dakota pheasant hunting each year with his Dad. He was proud of his ‘Boone and Crockett’ record buck and record setting rainbow trout. He loved kids and enjoyed being around his nieces and nephews and the kids of his friends. 

 Scott is survived by his mother, Carolyn Wolfe of Neosho; sister, Crystal (Murray Musser) Wolfe of Branson; aunt, Jeanne (Kenny) Graham of Neosho; nieces, Karyssa Cizek, Neosho; Kassey Krutsinger and KarRee Musser of Branson; Kallea Baty of Springfield; nephews, Kade and Kamden of Branson and Kooper of Springfield and four great nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, George ‘Skip’ Wolfe. 

 Memorial services will be held on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at 1 pm at the Neosho First Christian Church, Rev. Al Gritten will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 5 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Neosho High School Wildcat Baseball Program, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
