Carol Francis Beckett, 68, Neosho, passed away June 22, 2017 at Freeman West in Joplin.
She was born September 12, 1948 in Bakersfield, California, the daughter of Alvin and Myrtle (Ponder) Lavender. Carol was a very hard worker, sometimes working three jobs at one time to support her children at various jobs including convenience store manager, assistant manager and several years at Scholastic. She was extremely dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends.
She is survived by four children, Justin Beckett and wife, Christina of Neosho, Stephanie Jacobson and husband, Marion of Exeter, Jessie Beckett and wife, Joanna of Neosho and William Beckett of Neosho; brother, Bud Lavender and wife, Sherry of Grove, OK; two sisters, Betty Sumner of Neosho and Janice Lavender of Oklahoma City, OK; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Silver Moon Full Gospel Church with Pastor Phil Barber officiating.
