Fran Bender

Frances Melvina "Fran" Bender, age 73 of Seneca, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation, following an extended illness.

Fran was born on January 3, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Dan Clark and Edith Robinette Ruth Walsh Clark. She attended high school in Norman, Oklahoma and was very gifted in synchronized swimming. Fran was also a gifted piano player and singer. Fran worked for Eagle Picher in the soldering department for 13 years prior to retirement. She attended Central Assembly of God church throughout her life.

On June 11, 1985, Fran married Cecil Bender in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home in Seneca.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Dianna Lannon and husband, James of Seneca; sons, Kenny Bryant and wife, Tiffany of Carterville and Howard Bryant and partner, Duwane Tillery of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Jake, Rachel, Toni, Kasandra, Jacob, Darion and Dillon; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

Other than her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her only brother, Danny Clark.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Saginaw Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either, Children's Miracle Network or the Joplin Humane Society, both in care of the mortuary.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
