Ronald Edward Dodson, 70, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home. Ron was born December 24, 1946 in Reeds, Missouri to Leon and Jewene “Stroup” Dodson. Ron worked in the agriculture market and for Burlington-Northern-Santa Fe Railroad. After retirement, he returned to the Carthage Area. Ron was a member of the Carthage Masonic Lodge 197 AF&AM and was a past Master of the lodge.
Ron was united in marriage to Linda Kingsbury on January 31, 1970 in Carthage; she survives.
Ron is survived by one daughter Greta Dixon of Carterville, two sons: Sean Dodson and wife Lisa of Webb City and Corey Dodson of Carthage, one brother Richard Dodson and wife Margaret of Wentworth and one sister-in-law Pam Dodson of Joplin. He is also survived by two granddaughters: Taylor Dodson and Sydney Dixon.
Ron is preceded in death by one brother Robert Dodson.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
