Charles Lee Pickett, age 76 of Webb City, Missouri passed away Saturday June 17, 2017 at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 16, 1940 in Joplin, Missouri to Charles and Margie (Webster) Pickett.
Charles was employed with MGE- Missouri Gas Energy and retired in 2001 after 30 years of service. He was a good family man and loved being involved with his children’s activities. He would always make time to spend time with each child and would take them as a group and individually on special trips. He enjoyed all outdoor sports, especially hunting and fishing. He was devoted and passionate about life and all the activities he was involved with, as well as being a husband, dad, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Charles married Patricia Danner on December 31, 1960 and she survives of the home. He is also survived by four sons, Charles Jeffrey Pickett and wife Lori, Webb City, Missouri, Richard Lee Pickett and wife Cheryl Marie, Oronogo, Missouri, John Scott Pickett and fiancé Jonna, Webb City, Missouri, Tony A. Pickett and wife Tracy, Webb City, Missouri, and 14 grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services will be 10:00 am Wednesday June 21, 2017 at the Webb City Cemetery with Pastor Joe Morris officiating.
