Dusty Schoelzel

Justin “Dusty” Schoelzel, age 44, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

He was born March 21, 1973 in Waukegan, Illinois the son of Jerold “Jerry” and Joan Mabel (Oetting) Schoelzel. His father, Jerry passed away the same day.

Surviving are his mother, Joan Mabel Schoelzel of Cassville, Missouri; four brothers, Jeffery Allen Schoelzel and Debbie Evans of Granby, Missouri, Jay Michael Schoelzel and Stacey Cochran of Cassville, Missouri, Jon Matthew Schoelzel and his wife Jamie of Cassville, Missouri and James Patrick Schoelzel of Cassville, Missouri; four sisters, Janet Lee DeShazer and her husband Mark of Wheaton, Missouri, Jean Neal and her husband Darrell of Baxter Springs, Kansas, Judy Lynn Rodriguez and her husband Josẽ of Rocky Comfort, Missouri and Jerricay Dyer and her husband David of Butterfield, Missouri; twenty-two nieces and nephews and twenty-nine great nieces and nephews.

Dusty moved with his family from Illinois to Cassville at the age of 4. He graduated from Oakview State School at the age of 21 and later went to work at the Area Sheltered Workshop for 21 years, which he enjoyed. Some of his favorite things were listening to Bluegrass music, drinking diet coke and being with people.

Visitation will be held from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, August 7, 2017 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. A private burial will be held.

Contributions may be made to Monett Area Sheltered Workshop in memory of Dusty.
