Danny R. Swallow, 68, of Oronogo, Missouri, formerly of Pittsburg, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the National Health Care in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born on June 3, 1949, to Clarence W. and Eleanor Ann (Androwski) Swallow at Pittsburg. He graduated from Southeast High School in Cherokee, Kansas. Danny worked at Highland Park Cemetery and later for the Morning Sun Newspaper.
He is survived by two sons, Ryan Bartley of Florida and Shawn Swallow of Pittsburg; a daughter, Amy Bartley of Florida; two grandsons and a granddaughter; four brothers, James, Clarence, Jerry and David Swallow; his sister-in-law, Shirley Swallow of Oronogo, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Terry Swallow and two sisters, June Wilson and Mary Jones.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, to sign the register book. Private burial will take place in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
