Leonard L. Pruitt, 94, passed away on October 15, 2017 in Yukon, Oklahoma.
Leonard was born January 2, 1923 in Carthage, Missouri to Birl Pruitt and Myrtle “Allen” Pruitt. Leonard worked for Steadley Corporation in his earlier years and then worked for the gas company in Parsons, Kansas for 30 years, retiring from there. He served in the Army as a corporal during World War II. He was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Leonard was united on marriage to Ruby Ritchie Pruitt on April 5, 1942. She preceded him in death on December 23, 1999.
Leonard is survived by one son, Larry Pruitt (Milverly) of Yukon, Oklahoma, one grandson Matthew Pruitt, two step-sons Lynn Wilds (Gale) and family and David Wilds (Jana) and family, one brother, Birl Pruitt (Linda).
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and two sisters Wilma Miller and Mildred Stearns Pruitt.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri. Online condolences may be made www.ulmerfh.com.
