Marcia Forman

Marcia Mae (Morey) Forman has gone to be with your Lord and Savior who has prepared a place for her on Sunday, Oct 8, 2017.  She passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Marcia was born December 12, 1936 at the family home in Sandgate, VT to the late James and Ollie Morey.  She was the fourth child to this union.  She was educated in the Vermont school system, primarily in Bennington, VT.  She attended St. Joseph Business College where she studied in Record Keeping and Office Management.
On August 14, 1954 she married her soul mate and love of her life, Robert Kyle Forman in Bennington, VT.  During their marriage, they raised 5 children, having lived in Vermont, Maine, Ohio, New York, and finally back to Bennington where their life together began.
On January 1, 1986, her lifelong love passed away at their home following a lengthy illness.  After his passing, she lived in Virginia Beach, VA with her eldest daughter, Jan and family until returning to VT in 1995.  There she resided in Winooski, VT until 2001 when she moved to Joplin, MO with her son Robert and family.
During her life she worked as a homemaker, and accounts payable/receivable clerk.   With her husband, they owned and operated a pizza house, Chow Town, and a clothing store, Sons of Britches.  She worked as a Security Guard at the Naval Exchange, and as a Cashier for Shaw’s Markets.
IN addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 infant sons, her sisters, Lillian (Leonard) Chatterton in 1991 and Gloria (Ralph) Harrington in 2014, a brother-in-law, Carl Granger, a special cousin, Arnold Revette, and her lifelong best friend, Vivian Wyman Brewer. 
She is survived by her five children; Jan (Tim) Ahearn of Coudersprot, PA, Loriel Shamblen of Hoosick Falls, NY, Robert (Cheryl) Forma, Joplin, MO, Kevin (Mary) Forman of Burlington, VT, and Keith (Mary Barbara) Forman or Rio Rancho, NM; 14 grandchildren; Mary (Kelly), Andrew (Tonia), Caleb, Christopher, Amber (Mike) Dustin (Cassie), Jennifer (Carl), Leila (Stephen),  Robert (Ashley), Shannon, (Fahad), and Kristi (Brandon); 20 great-grandchildren; Conner, Tristen, Hailey, Raven, Lilly, Madison, /Skylar, Cadence, Ayden, Gavin, Olivia, Casandra, Trent, Isaiah, Zara, Noelle, Elaina, Arman, Zake and Bryon.  One sister, Rhoda Ganger, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday Oct 14,2017 at Southside Baptist Church, Joplin, MO. followed by a Remembrance Service with Burial in Bennington VT on 10/ 21/2017.
