Carter Draeger

Carter R Draeger, age 85, passed away at 12:20 pm, Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Quaker Hill Manor, Lowell, KS following an illness.

Mr Draeger was born March 18, 1936 on his family farm, rural Columbus. His parents were Paul and Faye (Hanks) Draeger. Carter was a lifetime resident here. He went to elementary school at the Jenness one room school. He graduated from CCCHS with the class of 1953.








He served in the US Army Reserves. Carter had worked at Spencer Chenical Company in Riverton. He later worked as a meter reader for Empire District Electric Company from 1969 – 1995. He was a member of Sherwin Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Carter was married to Sandra R Bell on November 3, 1961 in Kansas City, KS. She survives

Additional survivors include one son, Roger Draeger (Elisama), Crestline, KS; one daughter, Paula murphy (Kenny), Joplin, MO; one brother, Rick Draeger (Janet), Columbus; 10 grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins.
He was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, KS for cremation.

The family will receive friends from 5;00 -7:00 pm, Thursday, December 23, 2021 t Derfelt Funeral Home, Columbus, KS.
