(From Clark Funeral Home)Marilyn J. Clemmons, age 92, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at 9:52 a.m. on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born November 23, 1929, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to the late John Taylor and Faye Honor Ecton.
Marilyn lived most of her life in St. Joseph, Missouri and worked as an insurance agent for American Family. In 1999 she moved to the area to be near her daughter. She developed friends in the community and was a member of the Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin.
Survivors include: one daughter, Charlene Ford of Joplin; one son, Larry Clemmons of Tucson, Arizona, and his family, including, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the Kenney Cemetery in Neosho with Pastor John Swadley officiating.
