Johnny Houck

Johnny Claude Houck, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 14, 2021 in Jay, OK. He was born on November 19, 1949 in Southwest City, MO to Tony Howard Houck and Charlene Mae Keithley.

Johnny was a graduate of Jay High School, Class of 1968. He continued with his education and completed his Nursing Degree at Missouri Southern State University, Joplin, MO. 








After receiving his Nursing Degree, he worked at Freeman Hospital over 35 years until his retirement. He loved to hunt and being outdoors. Johnny and his wife own Yellow Bird Ranch. He loved being a rancher and raising their cattle. Johnny would barter and trade whenever he could for great deals. He was a very caring man with a passionate heart. His wife Viola came first in his life and he loved taking care of her. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Charlene Houck.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Viola Houck of Jay, OK; his children, John Houck and wife Spring of Jay, OK, April Marker and husband Eric of Urbana, MO; 6 grandchildren, Jeremiah, Cheyenne and Jacob Houck of Jay, OK, John William, Josie and Jolene Marker of Urbana, MO; his sister, Tony Carleton and husband Davis of Grove, OK; 1 niece; 1 nephew; many cousins, extended family and friends.

Johnny’s Celebration Of Life Memorial Gathering will be held at Grove Community Center (Room 4), 104 W. 3rd St., Grove, OK on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 5:00-8:00pm.
