(From Lawson's Funeral Homes)Norma Jean Asher, age 73, went to her heavenly home on December 23, 2021 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Norma was born on July 10, 1948 in Row, OK to Jack and Gerldean (Potter) Foreman.
Norma was a member of the Tonnecee Free Holiness Church and was a lady of strong faith who loved her church family. Norma loved to get together with family and friends and she loved family reunions.
She loved to paint as a hobby, and she loved picnics down by the creek bank. Norma was a true outdoors lady who enjoyed her cookouts and fishing. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Gerldean Forman; a son, Terry Asher; her 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Norma is survived by her 2 sons, Juel Asher, and Richie Asher of Colcord, OK; Wilma Bales of Colcord OK that was like a daughter to her; 1 brother, Marvin Foreman and wife Claudine of Colcord, OK; 2 sisters, Frances Riggins of West Siloam Springs, OK and Rita Rutherford and husband Russell of Southwest City, MO; 2 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Norma’s family visitation to greet friends will be on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346. Norma’s Celebration Of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 2:00pm, Tonnecee Free Holiness Church, Colcord, OK. Norma’s burial will follow to Clouds Creek Cemetery, Colcord, OK. Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK 74346 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
