Ryan Jones

Ryan Lee Jones, age 50, of Barling, Arkansas passed away December 12, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Ryan was born May 23, 1971 in Kansas City, Missouri to Danny Jones and Eula (Cook) Jones. He graduated from East High School in the class of 1990. On December 21, 1991, Ryan married Melanie Lynn Myers at Leeds Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO.









Ryan worked for Marmic Fire and Safety for over 14 years, working in the sprinkler department in Joplin, MO, which led to managing the Fort Smith, AR branch. He loved hiking, traveling and enjoyed telling jokes, especially his "Dad" jokes. Ryan was thrilled when the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Royals made it to the Super Bowl and World Series. His biggest highlights were taking the grandkids for rides in his truck and spending time with family along with his parrot, Monique.

Survivors include his wife Melanie of Barling, AR, two sons; Nathan Jones of Cameron, MO, and Wyatt Jones of Barling, AR, two daughters; Kadi Jones (Kevin White) of Lamar, MO and Sara Jones of Barling, AR, four grandchildren; Austin and Sophia White of Lamar, MO, and Weston and Autry Jones of Barling, AR, one brother; Chris (Rebecca) Jones of Lamar, MO, two sisters; Lisa (Jason) Villarreal and Teresa Jones of Independence, MO, along with nieces, nephews and close friends.

Preceding Ryan in death were his parents, paternal grandparents; Joe and Ruth (Barker) Jones, maternal grandparents; Robert and Alma (Jackson) Cook, and uncles, David Jones and Bobby Cook and an aunt, JoAnn (Jones) Guzman

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 20, 2021, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Daniel Funeral Home.
