Norman Bratt

Norman T. Bratt, age 89, of Grove, passed into the arms of Jesus, and was reunited with his beloved wife, on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at his home.

Norman was born on June 30, 1932, to Richard and Pearl (Harrison) Bratt in Columbus, OH.

At the age of 18, Norman enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, serving as a paratrooper.








In 1950, Norman met Phyllis Taynor at the Ohio State Fair and on July 6, 1951, they were married in Pheonix, AZ. The couple made their home in California, where Norman worked as a machinist for Rockwell International and later for Boeing.

In 1991, the couple retired and moved to Grove, where they became faithful members of the First Christian Church. They enjoyed making and selling beautifully crafted porcelain dolls together. Norman was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered for his kindness and sweet spirit.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers and one sister.

Left to cherish her memory, three sons: Rick Bratt (Cheryl) of Joplin, MO, Doug Bratt (Susan) of Roland Heights, CA and Steve Bratt (Ivy ) of Afton, OK; sister, Ellen Reynolds of Marengo, OH, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2pm Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Olympus Cemetery North. Pastor Casey Kleeman to officiate.

The family requests that donations be made to First Christian Church, 102 W. 4th St Grove, OK 74344.
