Leroy Fore

Leroy A. Fore was born May 5, 1941, in Fresno, California, the son of Irvin and Mary Margaret (Rodriguez) Fore. He entered into rest on December 29, 2021, in Granby, Missouri, at the age of 80. Leroy moved to Missouri from Santa Clara, California, in 1976 and began working at Crane’s Electric in Neosho for six years. He then worked as an electrician for Camp Crowder until he retired in 2001.

Leroy served his county in the U.S. Army, both in active duty and reserves, for 52 years.








He loved to be with his family and friends and watch football on TV with his girls by his side. He loved to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities and loved to play golf. Leroy and Katherine Joyce Mayfield were married on July 16, 1960, in Concord, California, and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2017. In 2020 he married Carol Moss. She survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Susie Hurn and Tina Fore, both of Granby; four grandchildren, Christina Bulkley, Matthew Hurn, Jennifer Taylor, and Jeannie Lehar; six grandchildren, Jaycie Hurn, Haileigh Jordon, Blake Hurn, Brendan Sandnas, Heideigh Blanchard, Jennifer Bailey, and Haizleigh Lehar; three stepchildren, Amy and Chris Austin, Scott Goodman, and Darren Goodman; and his siblings, Bob (Fairisine) Fore, Larry (Eva) Fore, Shirley Kaufholtz, Debbie (Mike) Jackson, Carmella (Chuck) Bicking, and Keith Coleman.

Under the direction of the Clark Funeral Home in Granby, a graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Granby Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
