(From Parker Mortuary)Lia Kay (Adams) Sehnert, Joplin, passed away peacefully on November 10th, surrounded by her family. The beloved mother and devoted grandmother was 52.
Lia was born in Independence, Missouri, on May 11th, 1970, to Jess and Paula Adams. Lia worked for her parents at the truck stops and convenience stores they owned and operated in the Sarcoxie area. She later started her own family in Sarcoxie and worked for convenience and retail stores in the surrounding area.
Her grandsons were her world, so she wanted the very best for them. She showered them with love and, being a good grandmother, saw to it that they were sufficiently spoiled. One thing she especially adored was when her eldest grandson would spend the night and crowd her out of her own bed. And the little smiles from her youngest grandson made her heart melt.
Lia is survived by daughter Kayla Sehnert (Coda Hoover), Joplin; son Kyler Sehnert, Joplin; twin sister Mia Adams (Rachel), Kansas City; brother Jerry Anderson (Sandi), Sedalia; and grandsons Connor and Zackery Hoover, Joplin.
A celebration of Lia’s life will be held at the family home on November 19th, anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Private graveside services in Longwood, Missouri, are pending.
