(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Charles B. Garrison, age 89, of Monett, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at his home in rural Monett surrounded by family.
Charles was born on February 4, 1937, in Raymondville, MO; the son of the late William Andrew and Bessie Marie (Cummins) Garrison.
Charles attended Vollmer country school and was a graduate of Licking High School. He managed the MFA Farmers Exchange in Seymour, MO for a short time, and in Purdy, MO for many years. He owned and operated Roper Gas Company in Neosho, MO, along with his son, Greg. Then he delivered propane for D&D Propane in Wheaton, MO for many years before his retirement.
Charles enjoyed forming friendships with customers throughout his life. He served as deacon in several churches including First Baptist Church in Purdy where he was a member for the past 51 years. He enjoyed traveling with friends and family, and loved watching the sun rise every morning over his beautiful farm near Monett.
Charles and Evelyn Gene Graham were united in marriage on February 22, 1959. They walked through life hand-in-hand and celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary earlier this year.
Additional survivors include his son, Greg Garrison and wife Anita of Alma, AR; his daughter, Lisa Branham and husband Rich of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Alan Garrison (Cassie), Christina Howard (Billy), Kloe Branham and Blaze Branham; eight great-grandchildren, Dax Driggs (Maddie), Tate Driggs (Georgia), Daniel Howard, Anna Howard, Malia Howard, Tyree McGill (Lydia), Emma Howard, and Preston Garrison; one brother, R.C. Garrison of Denver, CO; beloved niece and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Billy Garrison, one sister, Ruthene Deese, and one great-grandson, Camden Garrison.
Funeral services for Mr. Garrison will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 8 at the First Baptist Church in Purdy, Rev Jerry Francisco and Pastor Rick Sharp officiating. Interment will be at the Purdy Cemetery in Purdy. The family will receive friends at Buchanan Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4:00 pm.
