Keven Warner

Keven Roy Warner, of Webb City, Missouri, a man of adventure and resilience, passed away at the age of 66 on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Born on February 14, 1958, in Aurora, Colorado, Keven's zest for life and love for the great outdoors were evident from his early years.

Raised in Burlington, North Dakota, Keven's formative years were marked by a sense of duty and service. After graduating from high school at an Air Force Base in Woomera, Australia, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country with pride as a paratrooper. His commitment to his nation was unwavering, and following his honorable discharge, Keven furthered his education at the Bottineau North Dakota School of Forestry, preparing for a career that would allow him to work in harmony with nature.








Keven's professional life took a turn when he joined the US Forestry Department as a Forest Service Agent, a role that allowed him to protect and nurture the wilderness he so loved. However, in 1984, his life was forever changed by a tragic motorcycle accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Demonstrating immense strength and determination, Keven adapted to his new circumstances with grace. For 17 years, he worked at the Sheltered Workshop in Joplin, Missouri, where his perseverance and positive attitude inspired all who knew him.

An avid outdoorsman, Keven found solace and joy in the natural world. He was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman, embracing every opportunity to be amidst the tranquility of forests and streams. His passion for archery led him to become an instructor for the Boy Scouts, where he shared his skills and love for adventure with younger generations. He also worked as a ski instructor while living in North Dakota.

Keven's adventurous spirit was matched by his warm and generous heart. He is survived by his mother, Marlene Nickerson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his father, Bill Warner of Destin, Florida; his three sisters, Cheri Bales of Webb City, Missouri, Sandy Schalesky of Salix, Pennsylvania, and Tammy Atkin of Lompoc, California; his two brothers, Buster Warner of Webb City, Missouri, and Jeremy Struebing of Colorado Springs, Colorado. His numerous nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family and friends, will cherish his memory and continue to be inspired by his legacy.








Keven's life was a testament to the human spirit's ability to overcome adversity. His journey was marked by courage, a deep appreciation for nature, and an unwavering commitment to living life to the fullest, despite the challenges he faced. Those who knew him will remember his adventurous soul, his dedication to his family and friends, and the countless ways he enriched the lives of those around him.

Walter Jackson

Walter Willis Jackson, 78, was called to heaven on Monday, September 30, 2024 in Rogers, Arkansas.

Walter was born on December 23, 1945, to the late Walter and Ada Jackson, in Bridgeport, West Virginia. He was a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy for 24 years. Most important to him was God, family, country and fishing. We love you, Dad!







Walter was proceeded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathleen Jackson and granddaughters, Ciara-Broox Jackson and Franchesca Austin.

He is survived by his wife Susan; six children; 28 grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Anderson, Missouri. A member of the Clergy will be the officiant.

Barbara Lyons

Barbara Ann Lyons, 83, of Anderson, Missouri, was called to heaven on Monday, September 30, 2024, at McDonald County Living Center, Anderson, Missouri

Barbara was born on March 3, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late Alvin and Zella Fay Groombridge. In her late teens she moved to Dallas, Texas where she was a great mother to Lee Edwin Trobaugh, Terry Don Chapman and Jenita Chapman Dalton.








In early 1976, she moved to Missouri where she loved the farm life and caring for and raising animals and serving the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eunice Pacheco; brother, Gerald Groombridge and both of her sons.

She leaves behind a daughter Jenita Dalton and husband David of Anderson, Missouri; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private service to remember her and lay her to rest.

Will Fraser

William Elliot Fraser, passed away on September 26, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri, just shy of his 14th birthday. He was born on September 28, 2010, in Harrison, Arkansas, to parents Diamonde Bogachoff and Michael Fraser.

Will was a bright student at Joplin South Middle School, where he had just begun his 8th-grade year. Will's academic interests were as diverse as his hobbies; he found as much pleasure in the virtual worlds of Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox as he did in the timeless tunes of classics and oldies.








Known for his sense of humor, Will had an uncanny ability to lift the spirits of those around him. Will was also recognized for his kind heart and caring nature. He was always the first to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his loving mother, Diamonde Bogachoff; his father, Michael Fraser; his stepfather, Donald Schneider; his stepmother, Lauren Fraser; his siblings, Katelynn Fraser, Isabella Schneider, and Gabriel Fraser; his cousins, Demarcus Smith, Xavier Twing, Kyle Wallace, Austin Wallace, Jackson Wallace, Alisha Hageness, Alisha T. & Jeffrey, Lazzaries, Lakeysha, Zaire, Joycie, Chris Barnard, and Nicky Barnard; aunts and uncles, Kevin and Crystal Hageness, Jessica and Danny Wallace, Nena and AJ Lovell, Toby Denman, Bernie Schneider, Anne Marie Schneider; and his grandparents, David and Sarah Fraser and Kenneth Hageness. 

Will was preceded in death by his grandmother Sally Hageness, great-grandmother Joyce Edgerly, and great-grandfather David Fraser, Sr.

As we mourn the loss of Will, we also celebrate the profound impact he had in his brief time with us. His memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have felt the warmth of his smile and the generosity of his spirit. Will's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the simple, yet profound reminder to always care for others.








A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO. The family invites friends out for a time of visitation prior to the funeral at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri, Will’s Place, or to Will’s final expenses at Parker Mortuary and can be entrusted to the mortuary.

Judy Davis

Judy Charlene (Woods) Davis, a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her, peacefully passed away on September 28, 2024, at her home in Mooresville, NC. 

Born on October 22, 1941, Judy lived a full and vibrant life characterized by her unwavering devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple joys of everyday life.








Judy's early years were shaped by the love and guidance of her parents, Charles L. Hughes and Ella Cartwright. Throughout her life, she remained close to her siblings, Kay Marchand, Gerald Hughes (Pam), Paula Hughes and Ceola Hughes, sharing in the richness of family ties. Her life was marked by the cherished memories she created with her own children, Kellie Elliott, Leslie Woods, Tracy Beyer (Mike), Neil Woods, II., (Julie), and Charles Woods (Debbie). The legacy of Judy's loving spirit will live on through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Charles L. Hughes and Ella Cartwright; husbands, Neil S. Woods and Thompson E. Davis and brother, Ceola Hughes. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and her memories with them were treasured until her last moments.

Judy's role as a devoted homemaker was a testament to her nurturing nature and her ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for all who crossed her threshold. Her home was a haven of comfort and joy, filled with the aroma of home-cooked meals and the laughter of her loved ones. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, and she took great pride in providing a loving foundation upon which her children and grandchildren could build their lives.

Her faith was an integral part of her existence. As a dedicated member of the Methodist church, Judy's spiritual life was a source of strength and inspiration, not only for herself but also for those around her. She found solace in her beliefs and was an example of living one's faith through actions of love and service.

Judy will be remembered for the warmth she exuded and the kindness she bestowed upon others. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Judy can attest to her loving nature, which was a constant source of comfort to her family and friends. Her smile, her gentle demeanor, and her willingness to lend an ear or a helping hand will be deeply missed by all. Judy's final days were spent as she lived, surrounded by love and family, in the comfort of her home. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.







Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4,2024 at Sarcoxie Cemetery with Pastor James Yost officiating. Beezie Parker

Mary "Beezie" Elizabeth Parker, a lifelong resident of Carthage, Missouri, passed away peacefully of natural causes on September 22, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri. Born on July 12, 1960, to the union of the late Johnny and Mary (Hinsdale) Riddle. Beezie, as she was affectionately known by her loved ones, lived a life characterized by passion, love, and an unwavering commitment to her family and the community she so dearly cherished.

Beezie's journey began in the quaint town of Carthage, where she was born to a family that would soon see her become a beacon of warmth and kindness. She grew up alongside her siblings, Cordelia "Cotton" Thompson and James "Butch" Riddle, and the late William Norris, all of whom shared in the joys and adventures of their childhood.








On June 20, 1980, Beezie's life was forever changed when she married her soulmate, Terry L. Parker. Their union was a testament to enduring love, and together they created countless cherished memories until Terry's passing in 2010. Their legacy continued through their three children, Carmeletta Muckley and her husband, Josh, of Lusby, Maryland; Calvin Parker and his wife, Ruth, of Webster City, Iowa; and Michael Parker of Carthage, Missouri. Beezie's joy was multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, Michael Wayne Parker, Jolie Kah-Lynne Greenwood and husband, Luke who brought boundless happiness and laughter into her life.

Professionally, Beezie was a Licensed Practical Nurse, a role she approached with the same love and dedication evident in all aspects of her life. She took great pride in caring for her patients, serving many years at Fair Acres and Chastain's Nursing Facilities. Her compassion and professionalism made her a cherished figure among both colleagues and those she cared for.

Beezie's interests were as rich and varied as her personality. She was an avid reader whose imagination roamed the pages of countless books. Movies and music provided a soundtrack to her life, while her love for cooking brought friends and family together around the dinner table. Above all, Beezie cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, understanding that it was in these gatherings that life's truest joys were found.

Beezie leaves behind a legacy of love and a lifetime of memories that will continue to inspire and guide her family. She is survived by her children and their spouses, her beloved grandchildren, and her siblings, Cotton and Butch. Beezie was preceded in death by her devoted parents, her cherished husband, Terry L. Parker, and her brother, William Norris.

Armith Harrell

Armith Vay Harrell, 94, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Friday, September 27, 2024. Born to Frank and Lexie (Howell) Reynolds on February 6, 1930, in Wharton, Arkansas, Mrs. Harrell married Lennis James Harrell on August 30, 1950. She found joy in Sunday drives, crossword puzzles, fishing, riding horses, participating in rodeo activities, tending to her many flowers, and cherishing moments with her family and friends. She was a devout member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Harrell) Utter and her husband Larry, of the home; brother-in-law Bill Hurn of Granby, Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.








In addition to her beloved husband Lennis, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, and a grandson.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, with Pastor Tony Intessimone officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Chitwood Cemetery in Wheaton, Missouri.
