Bob L. Turnbull, age 50, Joplin, passed away at 1:21 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 at Spring River Christian Village after an illness.
Bobby was born May 9, 1963 in Joplin, Missouri and was a lifetime Joplin resident.
He worked for the Joplin Sheltered Workshops for 33 years. Bobby was active with the Community Support Services known as GOALS. He was involved with their dinner club; bowling team. Every Saturday, he attended two movies together at the local theater. Bobby was a walking wealth of knowledge when it came to movie and television trivia. He was a proud lifetime member of Empire Baptist Church and The Monkees number one fan.
Survivors include his sister, Sharon Turnbull, Joplin; a nephew, Don Turnbull, Joplin; his aunt, Maxine Morris, California; and several other extended members.
Services are planned for Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Boyd, Gary Orton, Mitzi Smith, Kristi Santee and Jeanna Immekus. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
The family would like to thank the staff at Spring River Christian Village; the crew at the #2 Fire Station for the love that they showed to Bobby; Kelsi at Case Connections and A.O. staff.
