(From Parker Mortuary)
Nancy Jane Williams, 60, Pittsburg, Kan., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 8, 2013, in Pittsburg.
Nancy was born in Joplin, Missouri, on May 7, 1953, daughter of Dorris Cox. She graduated from high school in Kingman, Arizona. She moved back to Arizona after her kids were grown and worked as a bookkeeper for Blue Beacon for many years. She was always trying to learn more, continuing her education, and striving for more knowledge. She was known by her family as a truly loving person who always put them first. Even with her work schedule, and putting herself through school, she still somehow managed to raise five children, putting their needs ahead of hers.
Survivors include her children, Tammy Jones of Joplin, Tonya Wolfe of Pittsburg, and Timothy Bagby of Santa Rosa, California; stepchildren, Stephanie and John Williams; brother, Danny Winters; sister, Ruthie Teigen; and she was a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren.
Nancy left us peacefully at her home. She knew her time on earth was limited, yet she remained strong and vibrant. She was immensely comforted by her unwavering assurance that God was ultimately in complete control, and held her hand through the valley of the shadow of death. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at 6 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Jim Fryer officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
