Gary Mills

Gary L. Mills age 73 of Carl Junction, Mo passed away Tuesday November 5, 2013 following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 25, 1940 in Carthage, Mo. to Leonard and Loren Adams Mills.

Gary was a mason by trade and worked daily until 5 months ago when his health would not permit. He attended Central Christian Center, Joplin, Mo.

He married Roberta Lee on November 8, 1960 in Miami, Ok., and she survives. Additional survivors include, 3 sons; Gary Mills Jr. and wife Gail, Carl Junction, Mo., David Mills and wife Judy, Asbury, Mo., Billy Mills and wife Valeria, Carl Junction, Mo.; 1 daughter Missy Ferry, Carl Junction, Mo.; 4 sisters; Viola Gerard, Leona Gillman, Irene Lane, Diana Hales; 12 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Rex and Gene Mills, and 1 sister; Iona Allshire.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 7, 2013 at the Carl Junction Cemetery with Pastor Hank Deslatte and Reverend Paul Bayless officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home.
