Mildred L. Melton Peggram, age 95, Webb City, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Freeman West Hospital after an illness.
Mildred was born September 22, 1918 in Amarillo, Texas to the late Monroe Melton and Willie Goode Melton. She had lived in Joplin since 1970 moving from Amarillo.
A homemaker, she was a member of Faith Full Gospel Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Peggram, and a daughter, Laura F. Handcock.
Survivors include her children, Eyvonne Holst of Webb City, Joy Green of Joplin and Rickey Peggram of McLeansboro, Illinois; sister, Verna Prochi of Borger, Texas; 14 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Osborne Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bob Simon officiating.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
