Mike Simpson, 63, passed away peacefully in his home following an illness in Seneca, Missouri on November 7th, 2013.
Mike was born in Fort Warden, Washington, February 16, 1950.
He leaves behind his wife, Sandi Simpson of 32 years as well as children Stormy (husband Chad) Jeane, Darci (husband Nathan) Brown, Zoey Martin, Kyra Hirdler, Bekka, Jaci, Crystal, Graci, Shay, Kalli, Dillion, Faith and Kyle Simpson, Maranda and Dena Simpson Spry, Dezeray Edwards, and Jody Dominguez.
Mike was a wonderful grandpa to Madi, Maci, Justus, Sydni, Logan, Melody, Isaac, Zacary, Gabe, Zaeh, Daniel, Zaryn, Kylie, Kaleb, Kaden, Tori, Hurley, Mia, Montana, Ray, Xavier, Adya, LaTrell, and JoEll.
He is survived by his sister Mary Jane Chasten, his brother Dean Simpson and his best friend Gary Elliott.
Mike is preceded in death by his brothers Glen Simpson, Jimmy, Bill, Ronnie, and Larry Hendricks.
We are thankful that my husband, our dad, brother, and friend has been a part of our life. Mike was truly the most remarkable man. He was loyal, hardworking, funny, loving, strong, family oriented, and respectful.
Anyone that knew Mike would testify to how giving he was. He and Sandi were foster parents in Newton County showing love, support and stability for over 20 years and 200 plus children. His love never ended.
He was a committed employee to Pronto, Simpson Perry Oil and Quality Petroleum for 25 plus years.
He was in love with the Lord and is now sitting by Jesus celebrating his new life!
Mike Simpson is loved by so many people. We will love and miss you forever. See you in Heaven.
Memorial services will be at 4:00PM, Sunday, November 10, 2013 at The Sheep Shed, 8471 Gateway Drive, Neosho, Missouri. Family visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
