Judy Lane, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior 10:46 p.m. Thursday November 14, 2013 at Mercy McCune Brooks Hospital Carthage, MO.
Judy was born July 17, 1940 in Winchester, Kansas to Roger Benson and Genevieve “Schwinn” Benson. Judy was a Homemaker and was a member of the Covenant World Outreach Church. She was in the ministry of encouragement in sending sympathy cards to the entire area, she was known as “The Card Lady”. Judy was formerly married to Robert “Bob” Lane in Topeka, Kansas he survives.
Judy is survived by her step-mom Helen Benson of Mayetta, KS. One daughter Debbie Lane of Absecon, NJ, two sons Lowell Lane and his wife Laura of Carthage, MO and Robin Lane of Clarksdale, MS. Seven grandchildren Matthew Lane, Emily Lane, Michael Lane, Amy Lane, Jason Bevitt, Justin Bevitt, Jacquelyn McFarland, four great grandchildren Jaysen, Ashlynn and Brayden Bevitt and Jackson MCFarland. One step-sister Pam Danley, two step-brothers Ira Beasterfield and Ray Beasterfield. Judy was preceded by her parents and one brother Bobby Benson.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday November 22, 2013 at the Covenant World Outreach. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday November 21, 2013 at Ulmer Funeral Home Carthage, MO. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
