Faye Ileen Gary, age 83, Joplin, passed away at 7:36 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at her home with her family by her side.
Ileen was born July 8, 1931 in Leavenworth, Kansas to the late James Leslie Coffey and Celia Agnes Casper Coffey and had lived in the Joplin area since 1957.
She worked as director the Joplin Kidney Foundation and served as director for Up John Home Health Care for several years. Following retirement, she and her husband relocated to Grand Lake where she served as president of the Elk Ladies #2715, Grove, Oklahoma. She was also a member of Villa Heights Christian Church.
She married George N. Gary on July 4, 1950 in Rich Hill, Missouri. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Diana Lee Hulstine, Joplin, Denise Lynn Patterson and her husband, Loyd, Carl Junction; three grandchildren, Nicholas Patterson and his wife, Crystal, Nathan Scott Gary, Emily Patterson; one great granddaughter, Elisabeth Truelove; and one sister, Rosemary Carsten, Nevada, Missouri.
In addition to her parents, Ileen was preceded in death by a son, George Randall Gary; a daughter, Vicki I. Gary; and her siblings, Lloyd, Leonard, Richard, Larry, Don, Dorothy, Robert and Margie.
A memorial service is planned for Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Johnnie Adkins, Minister, will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
