Harry Walker

Harry Edward Walker II, age 45, Joplin, passed away at 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2016 at Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness.

Harry was born February 13, 1970 in Joplin to the late Harry E. Walker and Patricia Warren Walker and had lived in Joplin all of his life.

On July 22, 1995 he married Shannon Simpson in Joplin. They were honored to recently celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary together.

He worked at JR's Pony Express, Diamond for nine years and at Murphy USA as a clerk the past seven years. Harry had also worked at Casey's General Store in Duenweg for several years.

Harry was a huge Miami Dolphins fan and didn't hesitate to tell anyone that would listen about it. He was a friend to many-people loved him and he loved people.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Shayla Walker, Joplin; a son, Logan Walker, Joplin; one sister, Velvet Goswick and her husband, Chad, Webb City; two nieces and nephews, Maddie and Zack Goswick; and his mother-in-law, Christy Simpson, Joplin.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
