James Winters

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

James Randall Winters left this life peacefully at age 56 in his favorite recliner with his loving wife Kimberly by his side after a 2 year battle with cancer. Jimmy was born August 12, 1959 in Joplin to Clarence A. (Junior) Winters and Sharon Hutchins Winters.

Survivors include Kimberly, his wife and partner in life for the last 36 years, sons Marshall and Fiancee Lucie, Justin and wife Jessica, Joseph, daughter Lacey and Fiancee Jason (DB), grandchildren Olivia, Ivory, Sadie, Abby, Scarlett, Trenten, Journey, Kingston, and Bonnie, and his brothers Michael, and Stephen Winters. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife’s parents.

Jimmy was a Quality Inspector for over 30 years, working at Eagle-Picher for 24 years, and later at Midway Machining in Neosho where he enjoyed his job and coworkers.

Jimmy loved his family and his pets just as much. He loved playing guitar and shared his love for music with his children. All who knew and loved him will miss his quick wit and quirky sense of humor. Family and friends are invited to a dual celebration of both Jimmy and his mother Sharon’s lives on Saturday January 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Head Start Community Room at 4230 S. Richard Joseph Boulevard. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
