Phyllis Olive

Phyllis Anderson Olive, Neosho, died January 26, 2016 at her home in Neosho, at the age of 85. 

Phyllis was born August 25, 1930 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert W. and Esther L. (Arnaud) Anderson. She lived most of her life in Neosho and graduated from Neosho High School and continued her education at Stephens College in Columbia, graduating in 1950 and from LSU in 1952 with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of Chapter JO PEO and a member and former deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Neosho. 

Phyllis married Dr. George C. Olive on August 14, 1952 in Neosho and he survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Dr. Suzanne Olive and husband, Lloyd Prueitt of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Dr. George Chapman Olive, Jr. and partner, Dr. Nancy Gaston Mattax of Springfield and Dr. Paul Milton Olive and wife, Marilil of Springfield and Leigh Michele Caprio and husband, Scott of Overland Park, Kansas; one brother, Dr. Paul Anderson and wife, Joan of Springfield and twelve grandchildren, William Prueitt, Caroline Prueitt, Matthew Prueitt, George Olive, Henry Olive, David Olive, Lillian Olive, Frances Olive, Charles Caprio, Samuel Caprio, Georgia Caprio and Henry Caprio. Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.

MEMORIAL SERVICE
Saturday January 30, 2016, 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church
A private family graveside interment of cremains will be held at a later date in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery.
Following the memorial service, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall until 3 p.m.
