(Marion) Nadine Alford passed away on January 14, 2016 on her 95th birthday.
She was born in Carl Junction to the late Richard D. Maddox and Ione (Davey) Maddox. Nadine was united in marriage to Ernest Alford on June 4, 1941, and he preceded her in death on July 5th 1996. She is survived by her 5 children, Eddy (Elita) Alford of Lawton, KS, Gary (Lorna) Alford of rural Galena, KS, Judy (Calvin) Bower of Carthage, MO, Rick (Lisa) Alford of Peculiar, MO and Janice (Stan) Devena of Burlington, KS; brother, Art Maddox of Carl Junction, MO; sister, Delores Hodge of Columbus, KS and daughter-in-law, Belinda Brown. Nadine also has 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a 3 year old brother Johnnie, a sister, Virginia Mitchell, and a brother, Leon Maddox.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Lawton Baptist Church in Lawton, KS. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Burial will be in Carl Junction Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Gideons International or St. Jude’s Hospital in her memory.
