Dennis E. Johnson, age 66 of Webb City, Mo. passed away early Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at home following an illness.
Dennis was born on August 13, 1950 in Orange, Ca., the son of Phillip W. and Virginia (Current) Johnson. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Dennis was a long-time area resident, working as a mechanic for General Mills in Joplin, Mo. for many years before retiring in 2013. He was a member of Calvary Chapel.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Johnson of Webb City, and his sister, Linda Gardner of Joplin. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Phillip W. Johnson.
As Dennis would say, “It is what it is.”
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Pastor Jeff Kingery, will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Calvary Chapel in care of the mortuary.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
