Jean Jackson, age 73, of Joplin, Missouri, formerly of Carterville, Missouri, passed away June 6, 2017 following a short illness.
She was born October 14, 1943 in Wichita, Kansas, to Earl and Agnes (Rader) Jackson.
Jean worked for H&R Block as a senior tax preparer for 30 years and she owned her own beauty shop for many years. She was very active with numerous bowling leagues and she was involved with genealogy research.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Danny Besett, on November 2, 1995; and one daughter, Sandi Emslander, on May 2, 2017.
Jean is survived by two daughters, Shannon Blank and husband, Jesse, of Joplin, Missouri, and Tammy Little and husband, Richard, of Joplin; nine grandchildren, Branden Besett, Preston Besett, Zachre Hartman, Jared Emslander, Garrett Wilson, Cloey Blank, Marshall Blank, Joseph Blank and Regina DeMoss; and one great-granddaughter, Zoie Moon-Hartman.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor P.J. Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
