Leroy B. Phillips, age 89, of Pueblo West, Colorado,a former Webb City resident, passed away at 10:00 p.m. Monday June 5, 2017 at the home of his son, where he had lived since November, 2016. Leroy was born August 19, 1927 in Joplin, Mo. and lived in Webb City until 1970. Following a time in Colorado he moved to Gravette, Arkansas in 1990 and remained there until moving back to Pueblo West in 2016. Leroy was a Self-Employed and owned an Asphalt Paving Business. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Leroy was preceded in death by two wives, Ada Nadelle, and Rosa Lee, and a daughter, Cherry Young. Survivors include three sons, Martin Phillips and wife Stacey, Salida, Colorado, David Phillips and wife Cassie, Pueblo West, Colorado, and Mike Phillips, Fruita, Colorado, one daughter, Denise Archer, Chatanooga, Tn., 13 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
Private Memorial Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Pueblo West, Colorado. Interment at a later date will be at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, Mo. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
