Marge Parrish

Margaret L. "Marge" Parrish, age 81, Webb City, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her home.

Margaret was born December 7, 1937 in Osborne, Kansas, daughter of the late James Billingsley and Eldora Scheckel Billingsley. She graduated from Joplin High School, and worked for years as a waitress for Hidden Acres and Twin Hills Country Club, and also for a few years with Holiday Inn and Crabby's. Later, Margaret worked as a caregiver. She was an active member of Forest Park Baptist Church where she was a member for over 30 years, and during that time was active with her Sunday School Class, the Widow's Group, and hospitality committee.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Jack Parrish, who passed away on March 3, 2016, a brother, Alfred Halseth, 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild.







Survivors include her children, James Parrish of Webb City, David Parrish and wife Susan of Tequesta, Florida, Stephanie Fauvergue and husband Greg of Carl Junction, and Elizabeth Davis of Lake Charles, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Mike Parrish; she was known as Grandma Maggie to seven grandchildren, Angela Miller and husband Jason, Lisa Winnett and husband Tim, David Parrish, Thomas Parrish, Jacob Fauvergue and wife, Abby, Joseph Fauvergue, and James Fauvergue; eight great-grandchildren, Mirian Kissinger, Nathaniel Kissinger, Peyton Winnett, Austin Winnett, Cameron Winnett, Sarah Winnett, Lillian Fauvergue, Theodore Fauvergue; brothers, Fred Billingsley and wife Carolyn of Galena, Kansas, Jim Billingsley and wife Lorraine of Independence, Missouri, Richard Billingsley of Omaha, Nebraska; sister, Helen Lansaw of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, helping others, assisting disabled veterans and supported animal rescue efforts.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Forest Park Baptist Church.
