Mrs. Carol Sue Ames, 73, of Noel, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, February 4, 2019, in the comfort of her home, after a brief illness.
Sue entered this life on April 9, 1945, in Noel, Missouri, daughter of the late Harvey and Anna Lee (McGrew) McQuillan. She was a lifelong resident of Noel and was a 1964 graduate of Noel High School. She worked at Ralston Purina in Noel for over twenty-five years and was also an Avon Sales Associate for over thirty-five years. She enjoyed being outdoors where her favorite activities were mushroom hunting, tending to her flowerbeds and bird watching. Sue was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Tommy Beck; and four siblings, Ed, Virginia, Bertha Lee and Laura Jean.
Sue is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Sammie Ames of the home; three children, Tommy Beck and wife, Corky, Mike Beck and wife, Kimberly and Jeff Beck and wife, Heather, all of Noel; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; a brother, Bob McQuillan; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ames are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019 in the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. Hank Gorman officiating. Burial will follow in the Saratoga Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Wyatt Beck, Buddy Mead, Timothy Beck, Billy McQuillan, Jacob Cotrill and Quinton Smith.
