Phillip Wayne Ross, 76, passed away February 6, 2019. Phillip was born July 13, 1942 to S.J. “Slim” and Edna Ross. Phillip graduated Carthage High School Class of 1960. He was the owner of many companies, but was best known for owner of Ross & Associates Real Estate, Andy’s Restaurant and was a co-founder of Mid-America Environmental. Phillip attended the Carthage First Baptist Church for many years and was an ordained deacon. Currently, he was a member of Carthage Nazarene. Philip was happiest when he was surrounded by his family.
Phillip was united in marriage to Pamela J. Burnett, April 3, 1961; they were together 57 years.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Pamela; four children, Danny Ross and wife Sarah of Carthage, Debbie Cherry and husband Jim of Nixa, Dianna Chamberlain and husband Bill of Noel, and Donya Pendergraft and husband Seth of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one brother, Allen Ross.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Orville, John and Larry Ross.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Carthage Nazarene. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at Carthage Nazarene. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.
