Robert Taylor

Robert Clinton Taylor, 88, Granby, MO passed away on February 22, 2019 at his home. He was born August 27, 1930, outside of Miami, OK, the son of Warda and Dora (Lee) Taylor.

On January 27, 1955, Robert married Catherine Embrey. They were married 64 years and blessed with five sons. He was baptized at the Church of Christ, Stark City. Robert was a 1948 graduate of Fairview High School and served in the US Navy (Seabees) for five years during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in the Aleutian Islands and the Philippines. He worked for New-Mac Electric COOP as a mechanic for 26 years, retiring in 1986. His hobbies included driving horses, playing music, and spending time with his friends and family. There was nothing he enjoyed more than visiting friends, a wagon or buggy ride with the grandkids, a hootenanny or fiddle contest, or a music party at the house with his sons. He was an honest, caring man whose humor, wit, and love will be greatly missed. 







 Robert is survived by his wife, Catherine; sons, Richard Taylor and wife, Jane of Stark City; Russell Taylor of Fair Grove; Keith Taylor and wife, Della; Charles Taylor; and James Taylor and wife, Melinda, all of Granby; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Margie Couchman of Nampa, ID; one brother, Ken Taylor and wife, Linda of Camino, CA; and a brother-in-law, Gabe Trujillo of Orinda, CA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Carter and Frances Trujillo; a brother, Ronnie Taylor; and a daughter-in-law, Maria Denise Taylor.

A time of visitation will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm, Friday, March 1, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home – Granby Chapel, Granby, MO, with funeral service beginning at 2 pm; J.R. Burr will officiate. Interment will follow at Dice Cemetery, Fairview, MO.
