Russell “Russ” Wayne Kroll, age 61, of Fairview, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born June 12, 1957 in Torrance, California, the son of Donald and Dorothy Ann (Smith) Kroll. On July 6, 1988 in Miami, Oklahoma, he was united in marriage to Sandra Bruton, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Daniel Kroll of Joplin, Missouri, Michael Kroll of Joplin, Missouri and Steven Kroll of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Amber Kroll of Joplin, Missouri; two brothers, Scott Kroll of Joplin, Missouri and Mark Kroll of Ketchikan, Alaska; one sister, Dena McFall of Butterfield, Missouri and three grandchildren, Lucas and Sara Kroll of Neosho, Missouri and Matthew Smith of Joplin, Missouri.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Kevin Kroll and one nephew, Skylar Kroll.
As a young boy Russ moved from California to Neosho, Missouri where he received his education. He lived in many different states throughout his life, living in Missouri the longest. For several years he worked in the construction field and was a bus driver.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. J.R. Burr will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be at Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Monday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
Contributions may be made to Muncie Chapel Cemetery in memory of Russ.
