Michael Andrews

(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)

Michael Ray Andrews went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 5, 2020. He was born in Lamar, MO on July 1, 1958 to Charles and Arlene (Reed) Andrews where he grew up and lived until his family moved to Stella, MO.

He joined the Navy in 1976 and served on the Kitty Hawk in Company 934 as a Boiler Tech. He received four letters of commendation during his service.

After his service in the military he attended Crowder College where he  studied to be a diesel mechanic and continued his passion of fixing things. Mike could fix anything. You never sent anything to be repaired if Mike was around. He was a mechanical genius and could tell you the make and model of any old truck or tractor.

In 1981 he married Shari Dockhorn and had 4 children. They lived in Nebraska and in Lamar, MO until they divorced in 1998. He moved to Ft Smith, AR and managed a forklift company. He met and married Norma, the love of his life. They lived in Arkansas and Missouri, finally settling in Goodman, MO in 2013. Together they owned and operated NWA Ventures, collected trucks and tractors, and traveled on their motorcycle across the USA. They currently own and operate The Tractor Barn in Goodman, MO. Mike and Norma were passionate in their service together for the Lord and their community.

He is survived by his wife and parents; his son, Michael (Tiffany) Andrews of Easton, KS; daughters Sarah (Nathan) Woodhouse of Aurora, NE, Kathy (Derek) Knox of Fort Smith, AR, and Kimberly (Richard) Matthews of Aurora, NE; and 5 grandchildren, Katelyn, Kyle, Eli, Kaleigh, and Grayson. He is preceded in death by a son Zachary Andrews.

Michael was a good man who was kind and compassionate. He was known for his generosity. He will be greatly missed by all.
