Stephen Harper

Stephen Carter Harper, 70, Neosho, MO entered into rest August 24, 2020. He was born April 10, 1950 in Neosho to Lena (Edwards) and Cecil Harper. 

Stephen was a car salesman at K & K Motors in Bentonville, AR. He enjoyed bush hogging, working on his hobby farm, race cars, watching boxing, fishing, and taking drives. 

Stephen and Cynthia J. (Conner) Harper were married August 21, 1986 in Ft. Scott, KS; Cynthia survives of the home. 

He is also survived by four children, Stephen Harper and wife, Lisa of Pea Ridge, AR, Matt Rice and wife, Lisa of Cassville, MO, Michael Harper of Franklin, TX, and Chris Harper and wife, Nicole of Powell, MO; one brother, Larry Harper and wife, Susan of Columbia, MO; one sister, Linda Franklin and husband, Gene of Neosho, MO; eleven grandchildren, Alisha Simpson, Aimee Harper, Hayley Earp, Emily Earp, Shelby Earp, Emily Rice, Conner Rice, Hayley Harper, Kenzie Brittian, Corben Harper, and Karter Harper; and one great grandchild, Ophelia Mae Griffin. 

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents. 

A visitation will be held Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO. Contributions to honor Stephen may be made to Children's Hospital, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
