Sonya Dian Rawlins went home to be with our heavenly father and her mom and dad on August 10th 2020. She was born on March 19th 1965 to the late Earl and JoAnne Phillips.
She attended Parkwood High School. Sonya was a homemaker and caregiver for her parents.
Sonya married Richard Rawlins on March 9th 1991 he survives.
Sonya is survived by a daughter Erin Rawlins, two sons Richard Rawlins Jr. and wife Kayln, Bryce Rawlins and wife Brooklan all from Joplin. A brother Jack Phillips and wife Avonda of Hot Springs, sisters Ronna Earnshaw of Branson, Brenda Heurta and husband David of Joplin, and several nieces and nephews. Sonya will be missed by all of her church family which saw her as a mother, sister or a grandma to all the kids.
A going home celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. August 22nd at Hornet Pentecostal Holiness Church, south of Joplin on Hwy 43, with Pastor Tracy Holden officiating.
