Paul W. Sampson, 60, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest at 8:22pm, August 27, 2020 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
Paul Wilbur Sampson was born May 10, 1960 in Phoenix, AZ the son of Wilbur and Myrtle (Griffith) Sampson. Paul started working with his father in the dry wall business at an early age. He continued in the dry wall business working with family and friends for years.
Paul also worked for Keith and Kaleb Sampson driving a dump truck and he formerly worked for the Seneca R7 School District as a bus driver. Paul loved people, he loved to argue, cut-up and was full of life. He loved to spend time with his family especially his grand-children Kohin and Kahnin. Paul took special care in spoiling them. Paul was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Carthage. He loved his church and he loved to sing. His loud laughter, his singing and his blunt opinion’s will be missed by everyone he has left behind.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Bro Wilbur and Sis Myrtle, 3 brothers, Luther Jonathan and Phillip.
Survivors include two children; Shanoah McDaniel and husband Chancy, Neosho and Miguel Sampson, Seneca; brothers, Obed Sampson and wife Terry, Racine, Nathanael Sampson, Racine, Cletus Sampson, Seneca, Marvin and wife Linda, Dyerbugh, TN, Dan and Quannah, Oklahoma City; sisters, Esther Netterville, Mississippi, JoAnn Baker, Horseshoebend, AR, Ruth Divine, Noel, MO and sister-in-law Jeanne Gray Sampson, Gilmer, TX; Grandchildren Kohin and Kahnin McDaniel, Neosho and a host of extended family, church family and friends.
Family and friends can come to the funeral home for viewing Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 9am to 6pm and Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 9am to 5pm.
Graveside services with Rev Randy Greenwood and Rev Kelly Sampson officiating will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the New Salem Cemetery of Norway Road west of Neosho, MO. Pallbearers will be Chancy McDaniel, Keith Sampson, Zach Leal, Billy Casey, Kaleb Sampson and Miguel Sampson serving as pallbearers.
In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to assist with funeral cost.
