Timothy L. Sargent, 68, Joplin, MO passed into eternal rest October 16, 2020 at Freeman West Hospital after an illness.
Timothy Leon Sargent was born February 17, 1952 in Neck City, MO the son of Carl and Jessie (Busby) Sargent. Tim was a 1970 graduate of Webb City High School and had lived in the area most of his life. Tim never met a stranger and he loved working as production planner for Thermal Engineering. He loved spending time with his family and with Carolyn his wife. Tim loved old clocks, old VW and 55 Chevy 2 doors. He was a member of Faith and New Hope Church in Carterville, MO, where he ran the sound system for many years.
Timothy L. Sargent married Carolyn Sherwood February 19, 1971 in Joplin, MO and she survives.
Additional survivors include: children; Tonya Davis and Pat, Angela Madison and Virgil Sargent and FiancĂ©e Kim, Virgil Sargent Jr.,grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, Malachi Madison, Kasondra Stewart, Ryan Stewart, Jeanay Sargent, Matthew Anderson, Zayden Anderson, Katrina Sherwood, Cheyanne Davis, Patrick Davis, Timothy Davis, Kalani Davis; siblings, Charles Sargent, David Sargent, Tony Sargent and Charlotte, Anita Sargent and Barry, Deanna Miller, Vaughnda Cook and John; brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s, Marvin Sherwood Floyd Sherwood and Sandy, Virginia Sherwood, Virgil Sherwood and Tammy, Earl Sherwood and Deanna and a host of extended family and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Jessie Sargent; two brothers, Bud Sargent and Dennis Sargent; one brother-in-law Jess Sherwood and one sister-in-law, Melva Sherwood.
The family will receive friends from 6 -7 pm, Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Seneca, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Faith and New Hope Church in Carterville with Virgil Sherwood, Greg Martin and Andy Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with Virgil Sargent, Virgil Sargent Jr. Malachi Madison, Matthew Anderson, Ryan Stewart and Patrick Davis serving as pallbearers.
