(From Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home)Franklin “Mason” Colley, age 82, of La Russell, Missouri, passed away at 5:22 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at his home. He was born July 17, 1938, in Lawrence County, the son of William James and Leila Ruth (Galloway) Colley.
Mason was a 1956 graduate of Miller High School, in Miller, Missouri and was a cattle farmer. He loved to ride his ranger and restore old tractors.
On May 16, 1957, he married Raymah Louise Endicott, in Sarcoxie, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2012.
Mason is survived by his two daughters, Kelly (Bill) Hinshaw and Kristy (Chad) Calvin, all of La Russell; four sons, Richard (Karen) Colley of Stotts City, Missouri, Raymond Colley and Margret, Randall (Christie) Colley and Robert (Trisha) Colley, all of La Russell; two brothers, Champ (Betty) Colley of Sarcoxie and Dave Colley of Texas; three sisters, Faye Berry of Ozark, Missouri, Glo Bills of Wichita Falls, Texas and Veda (JC) Kessinger of Stark City, Missouri; three brothers-in-law, Joe (Kathy) Endicott of Sarcoxie, Leroy Conard of Osceola, Missouri and Glen Carver of Pierce City, Missouri; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Mason was preceded in death by his parents, William and Leila, wife, Raymah, one brother, Hoyt Colley, three sisters-in-law, Peggy Conard, Linda Carver, and Rhoda Colley, four brothers-in-law, Denny Endicott, Sam Endicott, Carl Gene Berry and Jim Bills.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Burial will be at Colley Cemetery.
